Granite is one of the strongest stones on earth. It’s timeless, elegant and resistant to acid rain, which makes it the perfect material for monuments. Once granite is removed from the quarry, it’s moved to the granite factory. The granite is cut into pieces, then shaped and polished based on the specs provided. It is then shipped to our factory for production. Here we will outline the process of how we create the memorial stones, that as a company, we have been creating for 150 years.

Once you have met with a memorial counselor, we help design your monument. You can customize everything from shape, size, granite colour, lettering style and designs. We will draw it up and help you finalize your monument.

Once you have approved your monument, the Granite is ordered. When it arrives it’s moved into position for the production stage.

The monuments first stop is to our layout room, where the stencil is applied to the front of the stone.

For this design, different grits of sand are used to create an Emery effect. It’s all sandblasted by hand to ensure quality control.

The next stop is to the second sandblast booth. The lettering and dates are sandblasted into the surface.
